Developed by California-based Second Dinner and published by Nuverse, a subsidiary of ByteDance, Marvel Snap was affected by the ban. Players now face difficulties accessing the game, with messages informing them of the temporary unavailability in the United States.
Second Dinner expressed surprise at the sudden removal and is working to restore the service as soon as possible. Meanwhile, other ByteDance apps, such as Lemon8 and CapCut, have also been removed from app stores.
