However, both actors clarified that the video was intended as a joke. Totah posted a follow-up video on TikTok, laughing and repeating, “It was a joke,” and captioned it, “We’re two platonic best friends who danced a little too close to the sun.” Brar echoed this sentiment on his Instagram Stories, stating, “It was a joke 😭,” and mentioned that they “didn’t want to gaslight” the internet.
