Legendary musician Elton John, 77, was seen having a frustrating meltdown while recording his upcoming album, “Who Believes in Angels?”, alongside Brandi Carlile. A newly released behind-the-scenes video on YouTube captures the 20-day recording process at a Los Angeles studio.
At one point, a producer confronted John, saying, “Dude, I’m just trying to make the song as best as it can be. You’re so impatient.” The five-time Grammy winner then slammed his headphones on the piano, shouting, “F–king nightmare!”
Emotional Struggles During the Recording Sessions
Reflecting on the experience, the “Rocket Man” singer admitted, “I was exhausted, I had a lot of doubt … I was a nightmare.” The video also shows John tearing up sheet music and declaring, “I’m going home.” However, he ultimately persevered, realizing he couldn’t walk away from the project due to his commitment to others involved.
Breakthrough and Triumph
Despite the challenging start, John eventually found his creative flow. “Finally, it all started to flow,” he said, emphasizing his desire to push his musical abilities. The emotional journey culminated in tears of joy, as John described the final result as “immaculate.”
A Special One-Night Concert and Album Release
The highly anticipated album is set to be released on April 4. To promote the project, Elton John and Brandi Carlile will perform a one-night-only concert at the London Palladium on March 26.
